Who is Little Raven Healer?
She is weird... in a good way. She does not have a dark side.
She stays in the moment she is in; she lives there. Her plans have ~ space ~ between them and each plan has a beginning, a middle and and ending. She follows through.
Her word is true, her promises kept along with any confidences shared wth her. She advises only when asked. She never meddles.
Her mornings begin early and include the Rituals of Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading and Scribing.
Her cold winter afternoons and evenings are spent creating crocheted, knitted gifts, learning Spanish or Piano, reading and writing.
When the sun shines she partakes in meandering strolls along the river, gardening, walking barefoot, sitting in her secret garden, feeding the birds, playing with her grandchildren.
She honours her Indigenous heritage by drumming, smudging, listening to native music and attending PowWows, Woman's Circles and Sweat Lodges.
She wears loose flowing skirts, cotton shirts, her hair long, her ears adorned with feathers.
She diffuses and makes concoctions from essential oils. She lights candles, opens windows, nourishes plants and wild birds.
She partakes in cannabis infrequently and ceremonially. She plans the trip and blesses the ride.
She abstains from alcohol as she recognizes the demon that lurks within the depths of the nectar it disguises itself as. She enjoys tea and cool water.
She puts her energy into planning, preparing and partaking of delicious, wholesome meals. She makes delicious soups and salads. Her home is a frequent gathering place of family and friends.
She keeps in touch with her friends but does not overbook herself as she requires plenty of solitude in order to keep herself grounded.
Little Raven Healer does not pretend to have any special powers. She, simply, helps people help themselves by playing devil's advocate and explaining other's points of view and encouraging compromise.
This Little Raven Healer lurks just below the surface of my existence and I intend to spend the next 40 weeks nudging her out of hiding.
